iQOO confirms 165Hz OLED display for Pad Ultra gaming tablet

iQOO, the performance-focused brand of vivo, has confirmed technical specifications for its upcoming 8.8-inch gaming tablet, the Pad Ultra. The device will feature an OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak local brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The screen is designed with a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio and equal 2.65mm bezels on all sides, offering a pixel response time of less than one millisecond.

Reports indicate iQOO is developing a tiered strategy for its compact gaming tablets. While the Pad Ultra is expected to feature high-end specifications, a secondary “Pro” level model is being prepared using the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and the Q3 eSports chip for gaming optimization. This new model aims to compete in the niche market occupied by devices like the Lenovo Legion Tab.

The official launch in China is scheduled for September 29, 2026, alongside the iQOO 16 smartphone.
