Iquimal Dine International announces 520,953,000 F CFA for Maouloud 2026

The Iquimal Dine International association has concluded its Maouloud 2026 activities, announcing a total expenditure of 520,953,000 F CFA for the religious celebrations. The event series, which honors the birth of the Prophet Mohamed, included preaching ceremonies and the Kabako Kènè closing ceremony held at the Mamadou Konaté Stadium in Bamako.

During a press conference held at the mosque of spiritual leader Cheick Oumar Seydou Coulibaly, also known as Farouk, organizing committee president Fodé Diakité detailed the finances used for the festivities. Despite security challenges, the events drew followers from various regions and from abroad. The conference also addressed topics such as religious importance, association projects, and social issues like female genital mutilation.
