Iquique stadium undergoes high-tech maintenance using drones

The Tierra de Campeones 'Ramón Estay Saavedra' Municipal Stadium in Iquique is undergoing a comprehensive maintenance process. The project, approved by the Municipal Council and executed by ASEO SQ SpA, utilizes advanced technology including drones and automated equipment to clean the facility's covers.

Mayor Mauricio Soria Macchiavello inspected the works, which began in early August. The maintenance plan involves high-precision technical washing via drones and the application of an anti-scale chemical treatment to remove dirt and prevent future residue accumulation. The project also includes structural maintenance such as checking the tension of the covers and refurbishing galvanized bolts to preserve the stadium's metal structure.
