Irache Consumer Association reports over 5,700 summer complaints

The Irache Consumer Association of Navarra reported receiving more than 5,700 inquiries and complaints during the summer season. Major issues cited by consumers include problems with accommodation reservations, flight delays, vehicle rental difficulties, and issues with organized activities.

Specific cases highlighted include fraudulent intermediaries. In one instance, a family was told amenities like a jacuzzi were broken to facilitate a move to a more expensive property, only to discover the original amenities were functional. Another report involved a traveler targeted by a platform scam in Málaga, where an intermediary attempted to charge more than the agreed hotel rate through unauthorized payment requests.
