iRacing announces Gen 4 Grand National and Mazda MX-5 updates
iRacing has announced significant content updates arriving with its 2026 Season 4 build, featuring new vehicles and extensive technical refreshes.
The upcoming Gen 4 Grand National stock car will feature a 358 cubic-inch V8 producing approximately 600–650 horsepower. It utilizes a 105-inch wheelbase and is designed to be lighter and less powerful than the Gen 4 Cup cars, emphasizing momentum and smooth driver inputs. Existing owners of the Gen 4 Cup and Legacy ARCA Menards Chevrolet packages will receive the Grand National at no additional cost.
Additionally, the Mazda MX-5 is undergoing a complete re-engineering “from bumper to bumper.” The update includes major changes to physics, suspension kinematics, tires, aerodynamics, and visuals to better reflect the real-world vehicle. The refreshed MX-5 will remain free content included with an iRacing membership.
