Iraklio Attica grants extension for 8.3 million euro redevelopment

The Municipality of Iraklio Attica has granted Ilion Ellkat an extension until December 12, 2026, to complete an urban redevelopment project valued at 8.3 million euros. The project, which involves the geometric and aesthetic upgrading of the Kountouriotou-Eleftheriou Venizelou road axis, has already undergone three extensions.

The redevelopment includes transforming the first section of the axis into a collector road with three roundabouts and a two-way bicycle path, while the second section will function as a low-traffic zone. The project previously faced a work stoppage between February and April 2026 due to delays in the payment of approved invoices.
