Iraklis and Volos face off in Greek Cup knockout match

Iraklis and Volos are set to face each other in a knockout match for the second qualifying round of the Greek Cup. The match will take place at the Serres Municipal Stadium.

Iraklis, returning to the Super League after nine years, enters the season with a reinforced roster and new technical leadership under Walter Matsari. The team recently completed a training camp in Italy, facing opponents such as Bologna, Palermo, and Parma.

Volos, led by coach Kostas Bratsos, also features a renewed squad with new additions including Furtado, Regís, Mendi, Barre, and Lekous. Their recent preparations included matches in the Netherlands against Groningen, Cambuur, and Heerenveen, as well as a 2-1 victory over Olympiacos B.

If the match remains tied after 90 minutes, the winner will be decided directly through a penalty shootout.
