Iraklis BC introduces new mascot inspired by lifelong supporter

Iraklis BC has introduced a new mascot named ‘Chaido’ to represent the club. The mascot, depicted as an elderly woman, was designed as a self-deprecating nod to the team’s nickname, ‘The Old Man’ (O Geriaos).

Zoi Nikolaidou, General Manager of Iraklis BC, explained that the project was a collective team decision aimed at filling a marketing gap. The development process took five months, involving technical collaboration with a manufacturer in Patras to finalize the costume.

The mascot is named after a real-life 80-year-old lifelong supporter, also named Chaido, who is a well-known figure among the club’s fans. The mascot made its official debut at the Ivanofeio Sports Arena during a Basket League match against Olympiacos.
