Iraklis owner demands foreign referees after match controversy

Panagiotis Monemvasiotis, the owner of Iraklis FC, has called for the dismissal of referees Katopis and Zambala following a controversial 1-1 draw against Atromitos. Monemvasiotis characterized the match as a ‘clear theft,’ alleging that the officiating resulted in the loss of two vital points due to the wrongful annulment of two goals.

In a televised appearance, Monemvasiotis accused the referee of bias in issuing yellow cards and criticized the VAR official, Zambala, for his role in the decision-making process. As a result of these grievances, the club intends to demand foreign referees for Iraklis' upcoming matches and has expressed a broader desire for professional, independent referees throughout the league.
