Iraklis signs Spanish forward Ivi López ahead of 2026‑27 season
Greek Super League club Iraklis announced the signing of 32‑year‑old Spanish attacking midfielder Ivi López. The player, born in Madrid, began his career in Getafe’s youth system and later appeared for Sevilla Atlético, Levante and several La Liga clubs including Real Valladolid and Sporting Gijón.
In 2020 López moved to Poland’s Raków Częstochowa, where he helped win the Ekstraklasa title, two Polish Cups and two Super Cups, amassing 172 appearances, 62 goals and 39 assists, with a standout 2021‑22 season of 22 goals and 13 assists. Iraklis confirmed that López will join the squad for its pre‑season camp in Bolzano, Italy, and is expected to strengthen the team’s attacking line for the 2026‑27 campaign. The signing also recalls his memorable La Liga moment in September 2017, when he scored for Levante to level the match against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.
