Iran and UAE signal desire to improve bilateral relations
Iran and the United Arab Emirates have expressed a mutual desire to turn a new leaf in their bilateral relations. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reported having a constructive exchange with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled, marking their first such interaction since the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East. This development follows a meeting between the two leaders held in conjunction with the BRICS summit in India.
Separately, Oman has announced the postponement of a planned meeting between Iran and other Persian Gulf nations. The meeting, originally scheduled for Monday, was delayed to create better conditions for constructive dialogue. This postponement follows an announcement from Bahrain that the country would not attend the scheduled talks.
