Iran prepares to unveil ‘Father of All Bombs’ in response to US threats

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced it is in the final stages of preparing to unveil a new massive military weapon dubbed the ‘Father of All Bombs’. This development follows recent indications from US President Donald Trump regarding the potential use of the GBU-43/B MOAB, a 9,800 kg non-nuclear bomb, against Iranian nuclear facilities and energy infrastructure.

According to reports, Iran’s new weapon is a 10-ton super bomb designed to be deployed from heavy transport aircraft, such as the Russian Il-76. The Iranian weapon reportedly weighs 200 kg more than the American MOAB.

In addition to the new weaponry, Iranian officials stated that the country’s missile stockpile has increased by 1.5 times following a 12-day conflict with Israel in June 2025. Iranian parliamentarian Feda Hossein Maleki indicated that Tehran is monitoring US military activity around the Strait of Hormuz and is prepared to implement new tactical military approaches and operational patterns if conflict with the United States resumes.
