Iran announces electronic food coupon schedule for households

The Iranian Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare has announced the schedule for electronic food coupon distributions to support household livelihoods. On Sunday, August 16, 2026 (25 Mordad 1405), accounts for heads of households whose national ID numbers end in 3, 4, 5, or 6 will be credited. This credit provides one million tomans per person for essential goods and is valid for one month.

Previously, those with national IDs ending in 0, 1, or 2, along with households under the coverage of support institutions and the armed forces, received their credits on August 6. The final group, with national IDs ending in 7, 8, or 9, is scheduled to receive their funds on August 27 (5 Shahrivar).

Regarding individuals whose coupons were temporarily suspended due to residency information discrepancies, the Ministry stated that if their residency in Iran is verified, their support will be reinstated. This process does not require visiting government service offices, as residency verification will be handled through data review. Reinstated credits will be active by August 27 at the latest.
