Iran arrests 21 alleged Mossad agents in Kerman Province
Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence announced the identification and arrest of 21 individuals it says are linked to Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency in Kerman Province. The ministry described a main suspect who allegedly collected information on sensitive military and air‑defence sites and passed it to Mossad, along with 20 others detained for online activities. In the same operations four armed criminals were arrested and a cache of military and hunting firearms was seized.
An opinion article published by Daily News Egypt referenced a Jerusalem Post report that claimed Mossad had recruited members of the Islamic State operating inside Iran to gather intelligence on the country’s nuclear and military facilities. The piece also cited past Mossad operations targeting Iran’s nuclear program and the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, framing the alleged recruitment as part of a broader covert conflict between Israel and Iran.
