Iran arrests 31 members of four sabotage networks
Iran's Intelligence Ministry announced the arrest of 31 members belonging to four organized sabotage networks in the southeastern Kerman Province. According to a ministry statement, the individuals were detained in Sirjan County and were allegedly working under the direction of the United States and Israel to threaten public safety and destroy property.
The ministry claimed these networks were preparing for street riots and destruction, having prepared Molotov cocktails and tools to damage urban surveillance cameras. The statement further linked these members to previous unrest in January, which involved attacks on police stations, banks, and government buildings.
Separately, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi denied allegations from the British government regarding an incident near RAF Fairford, a US Air Force base in southwest England. This follows reports that British police detained five individuals on suspicion of explosives and terrorism-related offenses near the airbase in Gloucestershire.
