Iran calls for international prosecution of Nasrallah assassins

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has called on the international community to fulfill its moral and legal obligations to prosecute those responsible for the assassination of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. In a statement marking the second anniversary of the event, Iran described the attack as a “heinous and unforgivable crime” carried out by Israeli forces.

The statement noted that the attack also killed Iranian Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan. Iran emphasized that the passage of time will not diminish the demand for justice or the punishment of those involved.

Furthermore, Iran reaffirmed its support for Lebanon’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, stating that a strong and independent Lebanon is essential for regional stability. The ministry praised Nasrallah’s three decades of leadership, describing him as an example of courage and wisdom whose legacy remains significant to the region.
