Iran claims US developed LUCAS drone to mimic Shahed-136

Brigadier General Majid Mousavi, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Air Force, stated that the United States has developed a drone similar to Iran’s Shahed-136, named LUCAS, and integrated it into its military arsenal. Mousavi made these remarks during an event in Khorramabad, noting that Iran possesses various Shahed-class UAVs designed for both combat and reconnaissance missions.

According to reports, South Korea has also announced the development of long-range kamikaze UAVs based on the LUCAS prototype. This follows previous reports, such as one from the National Interest, suggesting that the American LUCAS drone is a reverse-engineered version of the Iranian Shahed-136 model.
