Iran convenes legal forum to address war crimes by the US and Israel
Iranian officials held a specialised meeting chaired by Masoud Pezeshkian, with participation from the judiciary minister, deputy heads of the executive branch and leading legal scholars. The forum aimed to develop a comprehensive strategy for pursuing domestic, regional and international legal action against crimes attributed to the United States and Israel, including the recent twelve‑day conflict.
President Ebrahim Raisi praised the coordination among the three branches of government and highlighted the contributions of figures such as Alireza Ejei and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. He called for transparency, documentation and the involvement of Iranian scholars abroad, and announced the creation of an "Atlas of Legal‑Judicial Actions". The president also stressed the need to avoid parallel work, to form specialised working groups, and pledged personal involvement in ongoing meetings to ensure results.
