Iran energy officials focus on gas flaring reduction and grid stability
Arvandan Oil and Gas Company CEO Hamid Dries has emphasized the urgent need to accelerate projects aimed at collecting associated gas to prevent flaring. During a production meeting in the Darkhwin operational area, Dries stated that reducing gas flaring is essential for protecting national capital and the environment, noting that even a single day of reduced flaring is valuable.
Separately, the CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company addressed energy stability during the Russian Energy Week international forum in Moscow. He attributed regional energy crises to geopolitical tensions involving the United States and Israel. He noted that despite recent military strikes on gas facilities, Iran's energy network remained stable due to diverse fuel portfolios and experienced technical teams. He also highlighted Iran's potential to connect Central Asian energy networks to the South Caucasus and the Persian Gulf.
