Iran expands missile range to Europe and improves evasion tactics
Iran has significantly expanded its ballistic missile capabilities, with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee stating that Tehran’s missiles can now reach most major European cities, including London, Paris, Berlin, and Rome. This development follows an incident where Iran launched a long-range missile toward the Diego Garcia military base, which houses joint U.S.-U.K. forces.
In the Middle East, Iran has demonstrated increased proficiency in asymmetric warfare by utilizing advanced missiles capable of changing course to evade air defenses. Recent attacks on U.S. bases in Jordan resulted in the deaths of three American soldiers and injuries to over 100 others after a missile breached defensive perimeters.
These strikes have highlighted a rapid depletion of U.S. missile defense resources. The Pentagon has reportedly used more than 1,500 Patriot interceptors during the conflict, leaving fewer than 1,700 in the stockpile. This depletion occurs as Iranian forces continue to adapt their tactics to find vulnerabilities in established military defenses.
