Iran faces complex geopolitical and nuclear pressures
Iran is currently navigating complex geopolitical pressures involving its nuclear program, maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, relations with Saudi Arabia, and direct confrontations with the United States.
Regarding its nuclear ambitions, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reported difficulties in conducting comprehensive verifications of Iranian facilities and uranium supplies following conflict-related damage. This has brought the issue back to the UN Security Council, as Western nations seek to prevent the development of nuclear weapons capabilities while Tehran views the program as a matter of national sovereignty and strategic leverage.
In addition to nuclear concerns, Iran is employing asymmetric warfare strategies. This includes the integration of missiles, drones, cyber capabilities, and artificial intelligence to maintain strategic functions under external pressure. The concept of digital sovereignty has become central to Tehran's defense, focusing on the ability to maintain critical data, communication networks, and decision-making infrastructures despite international sanctions or technological pressures.
