Iran government employee salaries set with new floor and ceiling
The Administrative and Employment Organization of Iran has released details regarding government employee salaries for the year 1405. The minimum salary has been set at 18.7 million tomans, representing a 44 percent increase from the previous year's level of approximately 13 million tomans.
On the upper end of the spectrum, the maximum salary for government employees has been established at 130 million tomans, a 43 percent increase from the previous year's cap of 91 million tomans. While the general salary increase coefficient for the year was set at 20 percent, the adjustments to the floor and ceiling reflect higher growth rates.
Zabihollah Salmani, Deputy of Human Capital at the Administrative and Employment Organization, noted that the average salary and benefits at the end of the previous year were between 23 and 24 million tomans. Salmani emphasized that despite these nominal increases, current salary levels remain low relative to inflation, and measures must be taken to preserve the purchasing power of employees.
