Iran Health Minister calls for documentation of wartime medical experiences

Mohammad Reza Zafarkandi, the Iranian Minister of Health, emphasized the necessity of scientifically documenting the experiences and events of the Imposed War during a ceremony commemorating Holy Defense Week. Speaking at an event hosted by the Ministry of Health, Zafarkandi noted that the health sector has a responsibility to record the sacrifices and services of medical personnel, particularly during crises and wartime.

He stressed that documenting these events is an irreplaceable duty, as the specific scenes and lessons learned cannot be recreated once the moment has passed. Zafarkandi highlighted that without proper recording and processing of such history, it is impossible to create effective models for future crisis management, such as triage, or to build a meaningful historical narrative.
