Iran holds funeral for IRGC member killed in Larak Island attack
Funeral services were held for Hamid Avazzadeh, a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, following an attack on Larak Island. Avazzadeh was one of three IRGC personnel killed during the incident in the Persian Gulf.
The funeral procession took place in the Khor Khorost village within the Fin district of Bandar Abbas. Participants gathered to honor the deceased, with attendees chanting slogans against the United States and Israel.
Avazzadeh's father noted that his son was 32 or 34 years old and had been married for only three months. During the ceremony, a written message from the commander of the IRGC Navy was read, emphasizing the importance of defending national sovereignty in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
