Iran inaugurates 246 tourism projects worth 35 trillion tomans
President Masoud Pezeshkian announced the inauguration of 246 tourism projects across Iran, representing a total investment of 35 trillion tomans. These projects are expected to create approximately 3,200 jobs.
During a webinar held to coincide with Tourism Week, Pezeshkian emphasized that tourism serves as a driver for various economic sectors, including trade, culture, and regional communications. He noted that despite international restrictions and sanctions, developing cultural and commercial ties with neighboring countries is essential for national prosperity.
In Isfahan specifically, eight tourism projects with an investment of over 7 trillion tomans were launched, providing employment for 323 people. The President also pledged to reform cumbersome laws and regulations to support tourism industry professionals and stressed the importance of balanced infrastructure development across the country.
