Iran invites Indonesian President Prabowo Subiantono to Tehran

The Iranian government has formally invited Indonesian President Prabowo Subiantono to visit Tehran. The invitation was conveyed by Speaker of Indonesia’s People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), Ahmad Muzani, during his delegation’s trip to Mashhad to attend the funeral of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Muzani said the message was delivered to Prabowo, but the president’s response has not yet been disclosed.

Muzani added that while the invitation may also open discussions on the Strait of Hormuz, such matters are expected to be handled by the foreign ministers of the two countries. No further details on the planned agenda were provided.
