Iran issues threats of geographically unlimited responses against Europe

Following a meeting between senior military commanders and Mojtaba Khamenei in late October 2026, Iranian state media has launched a propaganda campaign centered on the concept of a “prompt response without geographical limitations.” This messaging is widely interpreted as a warning to Western European nations to remain neutral in military tensions involving the United States and Israel.

Reports indicate that Iranian media, including the Tehran municipality-affiliated newspaper Hamshahri, have published maps of Western Europe. These maps allegedly highlight 14 locations identified as United States military bases, suggesting they are part of an updated target bank for the Iranian armed forces.

Beyond missile threats, concerns have been raised regarding potential unconventional operations within Europe. These include the possible involvement of radical Islamist groups, anti-imperialist movements, and international criminal networks that have previously been linked to the assassination of dissidents on European soil.
