Iran issues warning to Cyprus regarding British military bases

Tensions between Iran and Western interests have escalated following reports of cyber warfare and threats against military infrastructure. In a separate but related development, hackers linked to Iran are believed to be responsible for a cyberattack on a small-scale power generation unit in the United Kingdom. The attack, which occurred last month, reportedly left the facility offline for four days. While the British government maintains that the wider national energy grid was not compromised, the incident highlights the potential for cyber warfare as tensions rise, particularly as Iran has previously warned that British bases used by the United States could be considered ‘legitimate targets’.
