Iran kabaddi teams hold training camps in India and Pakistan
The Iranian national kabaddi teams are conducting international training camps in India and Pakistan to prepare for the upcoming Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.
In India, the Iranian women’s national team utilized the Sports Authority of India (SAI) centre in Sonepat, Haryana, for a six-day training camp. During this period, they played a series of friendly matches against the Indian women’s team. Head coach Gholamreza Mazandarani noted that the camp was vital for his squad, which has seen over 80 per cent of its members change since the previous Asian Games.
Simultaneously, the Iranian team has arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan, for a joint training camp and friendly matches organized by the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation. The program includes training sessions starting August 20, followed by friendly matches scheduled from August 24 to 26 at the Pakistan Sports Complex. The initiative aims to strengthen sporting cooperation and bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan.
