Iran launches anti‑U.S. propaganda campaign in Tehran as Middle East tensions rise

Giant anti‑Trump and anti‑Israel billboards and graffiti have appeared on Tehran’s main avenues, organized by groups linked to the Iranian regime and the Revolutionary Guards. The displays depict President Donald Trump in threatening poses and include slogans calling for retaliation against the United States and Israel.

The visual campaign coincides with a broader escalation of the US‑Iran conflict across the region. According to a French television report, President Trump warned of a “total war” if Iran’s demands are not met. Drone attacks have struck two gas‑carrying vessels in Egyptian waters, igniting a fire at the Damietta port and endangering the strategic Suez Canal and Sumed pipeline. Iran has also threatened Cyprus and Bulgaria not to host bases for operations against Tehran. The hostilities now involve the United States, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt and other regional actors, raising concerns of a widening proxy war.
