Iran leaders call for national unity against multi-layered threats
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for national unity and social cohesion to counter perceived threats from the United States and Israel. Speaking at a meeting with mayors, Pezeshkian emphasized that enemies are attempting to exploit internal divisions rather than through direct military conquest. He identified energy security, specifically electricity and gas, as a primary administrative priority and urged officials to lead by example in consumption management to mitigate economic hardships.
Military and religious leaders in various regions, including Kurdistan and North Khorasan, have echoed these calls for resilience. Officials from the Revolutionary Guard described a multi-layered conflict against Iran involving military, economic, and cognitive warfare. They noted that while economic sanctions and psychological operations aim to create domestic instability, Iran’s defensive capabilities and scientific advancements have altered regional military equations.
Religious figures have also warned against attempts to incite ethnic and sectarian divisions, particularly in border regions, stressing the importance of unity between Sunni and Shia Muslims to maintain national stability.
