Iran may extend deadline for electronic coupon credit registration

Mahmoud Malkoti-Khah, advisor to the head of the Plan and Budget Organization, has indicated that the deadline for registering information to increase electronic coupon credits may be extended. The decision follows technical difficulties on the registration portal caused by high traffic, with approximately 40 million visits recorded.

The government and the Economic Commission have approved the principle of increasing the coupon credits. Specific regulations regarding the identification of eligible households, resource allocation, and implementation timelines have been delegated to the relevant authorities.

Officials will evaluate the percentage of the target population that successfully registered by the original deadline of Tuesday, October 13 (21 Mehr) before announcing further steps. Those who were unable to complete their information during the initial phase may be granted additional opportunities in subsequent stages.
