Iran Minister announces pension arrears payment date

Iran’s Minister of Cooperations, Labor, and Social Welfare, Ahmad Midari, has announced the timeline for paying outstanding pension arrears from the months of Farvardin and Ordibehesht to Social Security retirees.

According to Midari, the payment of these arrears is scheduled to begin on September 1 (9 Shahrivar). This update follows previous indications that payments might start as late as September 6 (15 Shahrivar). Additionally, the Minister noted that the President has ordered the provision of necessary financial resources to continue the electronic coupon scheme for underprivileged households.
