Iran Minister of Energy announces end to planned power outages

Iran's Minister of Energy, Abbas Aliabadi, has announced the official end of planned power outages across the country. He attributed this development to declining energy consumption due to cooler weather and the completion of essential maintenance processes at various power plants.

Aliabadi noted that while the cooling temperatures provide a window for technical upgrades and winter preparations, the nation's infrastructure has faced damage due to recent wartime conditions. He emphasized that power plants are currently undergoing repairs to ensure stability for the upcoming winter season.

Regarding water resources, the Minister reported that while public cooperation in water conservation has been positive, particularly in Tehran, several provinces still face critical shortages. He specifically highlighted the concerning status of the Dousti Dam in Razavi Khorasan, noting that alternative methods are currently being used to compensate for the deficit. He urged continued public conservation efforts as rainfall remains insufficient.
