Iran Ministry of Education announces programs for Anti-Imperialism Day

Alireza Kazemi, Iran's Minister of Education, has outlined several initiatives to commemorate November 4 (13 Aban), a day marking the anniversary of the seizure of the former U.S. Embassy in Tehran. The programs aim to instill the culture of resistance and anti-imperialism in the younger generation.

Key initiatives include the ringing of an ‘anti-imperialism bell’ across approximately 124,000 schools nationwide, including those in remote villages. Additionally, the Ministry will facilitate student participation in large-scale marches, particularly in Tehran, to honor historical events such as the martyrdom of student Hossein Fahmideh and the exile of Ayatollah Khomeini.

Kazemi emphasized that recent regional conflicts have increased the responsibility of educational institutions to explain the values of resistance and the history of the Islamic Revolution to students.
