Iran has announced its 12-member men’s kabaddi squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The team will be led by veteran defender Fazel Atrachali, who will be making his fifth Asian Games appearance.

Key players in the squad include all-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui and Mohammad Esmail Nabibakhsh. Seven members of the roster were part of the team that secured a silver medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023.

Iran has been placed in Group B for the competition, which will run from September 21 to 26, 2026. Their group opponents include Pakistan, Malaysia, Nepal, and Thailand. The announcement of the women’s kabaddi squad is still pending.
