Iran official warns of potential asymmetric warfare targeting US

Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, a senior advisor to the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has warned that Iran is prepared to shift from conventional to asymmetric warfare if necessary. In an interview with Al-Mayadeen, Naqdi stated that while Iran has primarily engaged in conventional clashes using drones and missiles, it has not yet unleashed its asymmetric capabilities.

Naqdi described asymmetric warfare as actions occurring in locations and through methods that an enemy cannot predict or effectively counter, specifically citing the possibility of operations targeting Wall Street or Manhattan. He asserted that the IRGC maintains over 90% of its missile arsenal and that damaged weapons production sites have been rebuilt in highly secure locations using advanced technology.

These remarks follow recent military actions by the United States and Israel, as well as U.S. economic measures aimed at increasing pressure on the Iranian government.
