Iran officials emphasize Islamic unity and social justice

During commemorations for Unity Week and the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, Iranian officials emphasized the strategic necessity of Islamic unity and social justice.

Mohammad Kazem Movahedi-Azad, Iran's Attorney General, highlighted that unity between Sunni and Shia Muslims is a vital strategy for maintaining security, independence, and the strength of the Islamic world. He noted that maintaining cohesion is essential to prevent external enemies from exploiting religious and ethnic differences to weaken Islamic societies.

Movahedi-Azad also addressed the concept of justice, stating that the Islamic Republic was established to implement justice and provide rights to the people. He contrasted the achievements in public services, such as water and electricity, with the perceived oppression from foreign powers, specifically labeling the United States and the Zionist regime as symbols of injustice.
