Iran Police Arrest Man After Posting Domestic Violence Videos

Tehran police arrested a man identified as Navid (born in 1990) after he posted several online videos showing him beating multiple women. The police opened a case to locate him, tracking his movements to Khormshahr Street in Tehran. During the early‑morning operation, Navid resisted arrest, attacking officers with a knife. Police first fired warning shots and then used live ammunition, wounding him in both legs and his left hand.

Authorities noted that Navid had previously been detained ten times on charges including disturbance, theft, assault, threat of murder, and online harassment, and had served several prison sentences.
