Iran raises military alert to highest level amid regional tensions
Iran has raised its military alert level to the highest stage, according to officials. The country has prepared response plans across air, land, and sea domains to allow for a heavy and extensive response against United States and Israeli assets in the region.
Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated that Tehran is prepared for potential new attacks from the United States. He noted that military plans have been adjusted following two previous rounds of combat. Current Iranian strategic focus includes targeting U.S. naval assets stretching from the Persian Gulf to the Arabian Sea.
Rezaei claimed that Iran has recently tested multi-warhead anti-ship missiles near U.S. warships and aircraft carriers. He warned that future military responses may extend beyond regional U.S. bases to include commercial interests and companies operating in the Middle East. Regarding the ongoing conflict, Rezaei remarked, “In practical terms, the war is still ongoing,” while noting that Tehran seeks to end the conflict as soon as possible.
