Iran reports multiple detentions of political and religious minorities
Reports indicate a series of detentions and legal proceedings targeting various groups and individuals in Iran. In Mashhad, siblings Zeynab and Hossein Mousavi remain in custody facing charges including ‘assembly and collusion’ and ‘propaganda against the regime.’ Zeynab Mousavi is reportedly being denied necessary medical treatment for physical health issues.
In Ahvaz and its surroundings, security forces have detained several Sunni Muslim citizens. This includes eight individuals whose cases were referred to the judiciary following a gathering in Ahvaz, and a separate group of approximately ten people from Abudeh village arrested due to religious beliefs.
Additionally, three Baha'i citizens—Soraya Manouchehzadeh, Fakhreh Zahedi, and Shima Sanaei—were recently released from Sari prison after posting bail. Meanwhile, political prisoner Parisa Kamali Ardakani has been transferred from Yazd to Bandar Abbas prison to serve her sentence, which includes charges of ‘propaganda against the regime’ and ‘membership in hostile groups.’
