Iran reports over 2,000 infrastructure points targeted in conflict

Iranian officials have reported significant damage to national infrastructure resulting from recent conflict. Abbas Aliabadi, the Minister of Energy, stated that enemies targeted more than 2,000 infrastructure points. He noted that while these attacks aimed to disrupt essential services like water and electricity, strategic planning prevented major service interruptions for the public. Aliabadi characterized the strikes on water and power utilities as “war crimes” and mentioned the loss of 14 specialized industry experts during the attacks.

In the transportation sector, Houshang Bazvand, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, confirmed that despite damage to certain transport infrastructures during the war, no major communication routes remained blocked and no infrastructure projects were halted. He emphasized that the government is focused on completing ongoing projects, including highways, freeways, and rail lines, to ensure continued development and connectivity.
