Iran strikes cause major damage to U.S. intelligence sites

Iranian missile and drone attacks have caused significant damage to United States intelligence facilities and surveillance equipment across the Middle East. Reports indicate that the destruction includes buildings and intelligence-gathering equipment used by the CIA and other agencies, with damage occurring at sites such as a CIA station in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and a facility in eastern Iraq.

Estimates for repairing or replacing the damaged infrastructure vary widely. While some analyses initially highlighted $800 million in structural destruction at installations like Ali Al-Salim Air Base in Kuwait and Al-Udeid in Qatar, subsequent evaluations suggest total repair costs could reach between $5 billion and $9 billion. The attacks have reportedly degraded or disabled vital radar, communication, and THAAD air defense systems.

In response to these developments, Iranian defense official Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik stated that Iran has developed a new arsenal of undisclosed weapons and technologies. He described these as “strategic surprises” intended for future battlefield use, noting that the nation’s defense industry has focused on continuous adaptation and maintaining resilient supply lines.
