Iran suspends flight ticket sales to Iraq, specifically Najaf route

The Civil Aviation Organization of Iran has announced the suspension of ticket sales and displays for flights to Iraq, specifically targeting the Najaf route, until further notice. This decision follows the cessation of flights to Najaf.

Airline companies have been instructed to issue full refunds for suspended flights to passengers without any penalties. To assist travelers currently at airports in both countries, airlines are requested to organize domestic flights to Iranian border airports and vice versa to facilitate travel or returns. The Civil Aviation Organization stated that necessary permits for these domestic flights will be issued immediately.

In a related reaction to regional aviation restrictions, Mohammad Mokhber, an advisor to the Supreme Leader, stated that if Iran is denied flight and airport services, no country in the region should have such access.
