Iran to add up to 700 new ambulances to national fleet

The head of the Iran Emergency Medical Services Organization announced plans to add approximately 600 to 700 new ambulances to the national fleet by the end of the year. This initiative aims to address the aging condition of the current fleet.

Currently, Iran operates over 3,500 emergency stations, including roughly 2,000 roadside stations and 1,500 urban stations, which handle approximately six million missions annually. To support this, agreements have been made for the procurement of 150 ambulances, with contracts for an additional 20 units currently in progress.
