Iran to form task force to support printing industry

Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Seyyed Abbas Salehi, has announced the formation of a joint task force to address challenges facing the country’s printing industry. The working group, scheduled to begin operations next week, will involve collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, alongside various industrial associations.

Salehi highlighted significant shifts in the sector’s economic performance, noting that imports of printed products decreased by 60 percent while exports increased by 55 percent over the past year. He attributed these figures to the synergy between the government and industry professionals. The new task force aims to tackle critical issues including foreign currency supply, access to facilities, and the regulation of imports and exports to further support national production.
