Iran to hold memorial ceremonies for late leader as President calls for educational justice

President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the 29th National Education Heads Conference, emphasizing the importance of educational justice. He stated that the government must address the needs of all social classes, particularly students in deprived areas, to ensure that opportunities are not limited to those from wealthy families.

Pezeshkian highlighted that the future of Iran is shaped by teachers and administrators. He also noted that while the nation has not yielded to enemies, he believes some are being unfair in their assessments.

Separately, the Office of the Supreme Leader announced memorial ceremonies to mark the 40th day following the burial of the late leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei. The ceremonies are scheduled to take place in Tehran on August 18, Qom on August 19, and Mashhad on August 20. The events are intended to serve as a renewal of allegiance to the current leadership.
