Iran to issue 200 trillion toman Gam Bonds for employers

Iran’s Minister of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare, Ahmad Midri, has announced several initiatives aimed at improving the business environment and supporting the Social Security Organization. A key component is the issuance of 200 trillion tomans in ‘Gam Bonds’ following authorization from the Central Bank. These bonds are designed to assist employers who are unable to pay their debts to the Social Security Organization. Under this mechanism, banks will facilitate the process by providing financing to employers, which the Social Security Organization can then liquidate.

Additionally, the Ministry is implementing a centralized mechanism for the opening and closing of employer bank accounts to streamline administrative processes. Midri also emphasized the need for cooperation between the government and various social institutions to achieve economic growth, noting that political and economic success requires long-term strategic planning and national consensus.
