Iran traffic police implement road restrictions for summer travel return

Iranian traffic police have announced the beginning of the summer travel return wave, predicting increased traffic volumes across major transport routes. Colonel Siavash Mohbi, head of the FARAJA Traffic Police, noted that heavy traffic is already being observed in pilgrimage and tourist provinces, including Khorasan Razavi, Qom, Fars, Gilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan.

To manage the expected surge, specific traffic restrictions and one-way directions will be implemented. The Chalus road will become one-way from the Marzanabad area toward Tehran. On the Haraz road, a sectional one-way system from north to south will be enforced between the Larijan station and Polur. Additionally, the Rudbar-Manjil freeway may implement one-way traffic from north to south depending on congestion levels.

Authorities are urging drivers to manage their travel time carefully, suggesting they allow two to three times longer than usual for their journeys. Police have emphasized the importance of avoiding dangerous violations such as excessive speeding, illegal overtaking, and driving against traffic. They also recommend resting for 15 minutes for every two hours of driving to prevent fatigue-related accidents.
