Iran U23 football team faces logistical issues in Japan

Pouria Shahabadi, a striker for the Iran U23 national football team, has reported logistical challenges facing the squad ahead of the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan. Shahabadi noted that the team has encountered difficulties regarding food due to cultural differences in nutrition, as well as limited space in their accommodation rooms.

Despite these issues and a long travel itinerary, Shahabadi emphasized that the team's primary objective remains winning the championship. He stated that the players are working to select meals closer to Iranian cuisine to mitigate nutritional difficulties. The team is currently preparing for their opening match against the United Arab Emirates.
